FollowThis magnificent-looking electric-powered motorcycle – the Bimota Tesi ‘Sconosciuto‘ (meaning ‘unknown’ in Italian) is a project design by Michal Pyteraf, a former student from Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Art in Krakow, Poland. This bike is actually designed for people who are learning the art of riding a bike and for urban-dwellers, where the sleekness of the bike would make it more agile to deal with the traffic woes of big cities.
Electric bikes, if other factors pertaining to their usage is sorted out, would prove to be a blessing for the environment. Vehicular smoke and gases have caused a lot of damage to the environment – affecting us in every possible way and besides that, our non-renewable gas and fuel reserves are depleting at a fast rate. Since electrical utilities over the world are working on developing renewable energy power plants that can harness power of the water, wind, sun etc. – it can be termed as ‘clean fuel’ and vehicles running on such fuel would cause zero emissions and no harm to our planet.
Moreover, it is estimated that approximately 25 gallons of fuel is saved for every 500 miles that an electric bike travels as opposed to a car – a clear example of how much we are polluting while commuting! The Bimota Tesi electric bike is a great ‘green’ concept and we should try and adopt ‘green’ transportation modes in order to save the environment.
