Customers may not be on Facebook while shopping online, but there’s a 50.8 percent chance they are logged into the social network via plugins.

Sociable Labs found that 50.8 percent of traffic to its customers’ shopping sites were still logged into Facebook in October, versus figures of 40 percent through 60 percent across all of the sites the company supports.

This occurred most on Sunday, at 53.7 percent, and least on Thursday, at 49.4 percent.

The figures for all seven days of the week were:

  • Sunday: 53.7 percent
  • Monday: 50.4 percent
  • Tuesday: 51 percent
  • Wednesday: 50.4 percent
  • Thursday: 49.4 percent
  • Friday: 49.7 percent
  • Saturday: 51 percent

Sociable Labs also found that time of day was not a huge factor, saying that during the work week of Oct. 17-21, 51 percent of users on the ecommerce sites it supports were logged into Facebook during work hours, meaning weekdays from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m..
