Yacht Wind Rose by Kaisha Davierwalla

Believe it or not, electricity driven boats have been traversing over water since the 1880’s. Solar powered water-crafts came into existence in 1975. Yachts have always been the epitome of luxurious cruising in the high seas. So this time, the designers have combined this extravagant essence with sustainable green technology, and finally came with the design of Wind Rose yacht.

Contrived by a design team of Kaish B Davierwalla, Alessandro Bettoncelli, Gabriele Teruzzi and Gianluca Giordano, the Wind Rose eco-yacht will be driven using solar power. The zero emission photovoltaic system (with an array of solar panels) will be installed over the expansive roof for optimum utilization of direct sunlight.

Energy efficiency will not only be characterized by generation of solar power. The sturdy yet voluminous body of the craft will mitigate the effects of climatic overtones, thus enhancing the safety factors and range of any voyage. And within the confines of this boisterous exterior, the eco-yacht will house a myriad of passenger oriented spaces, including a set of swimming pools. Thus, the conception will manage to exhibit the opulent side of affairs, albeit in an adamantly sustainable light.
